The project "Applied Nostalgia" has been designed as a sequence of exhibitions of photographs taken by two eminent photographers - one from Serbia and one from the EU Presidency country. Since Poland was presiding the EU from July to December 2011, Warsaw become eight capital of Europe, presented to citizents of Serbia in a very special and unique way just as Belgrade was presented to citizens of Poland.
The author from Serbia Zorana Jevtić spent a week in Warsaw in May, the capital of Poland and took photos of places, events and people that remind him of his hometown. At the same time, the author from Warsaw Jakub Stezycki visited in Belgrade and took photos of the city through the eyes of a "nostalgic photographer". Photos of Zorana and Jakub together make an exhibition Applied nostalgia
The project is carried out under the auspices of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia in cooperation with the European Movement in Serbia, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Poland and the Embassy of Poland in Serbia, with support of companies Asseco SEE, Beograd 2020, Tigar, Elektrodistribucija Srbije (EPS), Srpska banka, Ivančić i sinovi, Pošta, Tourist Organization of Belgrade, Zlatiborac, Velexpo and Masel.
